Logistics Space
The Logistics space is the main dashboard for running an event: this is where the logistics coordinator and their assistant process requests, place orders, organize distributions, and track the budget.
Accessible modules
- Requests — processing requests submitted by sectors
- Catalogue — browsing only (editing is done from the Admin space)
- Locations
- Orders & Quotes
- Receptions
- Distributions
- Returns
- Invoicing
- Vehicles & Scheduling
- Race Schedule — minute-by-minute schedule of the event, planning scenarios and a public live screen
- Depot Kiosk — live tracking of vehicle and radio check-outs/returns
- Budget & Sponsors
- Checklists
- Incidents — overview across all sectors
Actions reserved for the logistics coordinator
Some sensitive actions are only possible for the logistics coordinator (not their assistant), who remains read-only or limited to preparation for these:
- Approve, reject, or raise a question on a request
- Accept or reject a quote, confirm or cancel an order
- Verify, dispute, approve, or pay an invoice
- Close a return
- Set a sector's allocated budget, create or allocate a sponsor contract
- Create/delete a location, checklist, or vehicle (the assistant can view and update them, but not create or delete)
- Build the race schedule (formats, start waves, scenarios) and publish the official schedule — the assistant can only view it
Other useful screens
- Depot status: see Distributions.
Points to note
- Logistics is the only actor that physically confirms a reception or a distribution — sectors see their equipment in read-only mode.
- A product is never deleted, only archived, to preserve history.
- Space pages refresh automatically as soon as a notification arrives (new request, status change...), with no need to reload — a notification bell in the sidebar centralizes the history.
- Exports (PDF, Excel, CSV) are generated in the background; as soon as the file is ready, the download starts automatically in your browser, with no need to come back and check.
- A daily board: a public screen (accessible via a secret link or a QR code, no login required) can be configured to display the day's tasks live — receptions, deliveries, returns, pickups — handy for a screen/TV display on event day. Configured from the Admin space.
