Distributions
A distribution organizes the transport of received material from the depot to the locations requested by sectors — it's the last step before material physically arrives on the ground.
A distribution has a direction: delivery (depot → sector) or pickup (sector → depot). As soon as a delivery is confirmed compliant, its pickup is automatically scheduled to retrieve that material (usually at the end of the event) — not to be confused with post-event returns, which follow a separate cycle.
Life cycle
Each distribution groups lines (location, quantity, actual delivery date/time).
A distribution already Delivered or in Problem status can be "un-finalized" via the Cancel finalization action, available to both the coordinator and the logistics assistant: the stock is reversed (restored exactly as it was — the original movement remains visible in the history, never deleted) and the distribution reverts to Scheduled, editable again. For a delivery whose automatic pickup has already been finalized, that pickup must be cancelled first. The cancellation is refused if the material concerned has already left the depot again. Once finalized, however, a distribution can no longer be deleted: only this finalization cancellation allows reverting.
A distribution can also be assigned to a specific vehicle, independently of its status — reserved for the logistics coordinator, see Vehicles & Scheduling. The relevant sector then sees the vehicle (name, license plate) and can contact the driver directly.
Depot status
From the Logistics space, the Depot status page displays live, product by product, what remains at the depot and what has gone out to sectors (with a breakdown by sector and a movement history) — the view updates automatically, without reloading, as soon as a distribution is finalized.
Who can do what
| Action | Logistics coordinator | Logistics assistant |
|---|---|---|
| View distributions | Yes | Yes |
| Mark delivered / report a problem | Yes | Yes |
| Assign a vehicle to a distribution | Yes | No |
| Cancel the finalization of a distribution | Yes | Yes |
Where to find it
From the Logistics space, Distributions section — linked to the vehicle schedule to organize who delivers what and when.
As with receipts, only logistics confirms that a distribution has been delivered. Sectors view their planned deliveries read-only, from the Sector space or the mobile app.
